The panel is watertight at the top (IP67 protection classification) and protected against moisture and salt air at the bottom. Bow- / sternthruster panels from Craftsman Marine are made of solid aluminum and then anodised for maximum weather protection.
The bow or stern thruster is automatically switched off if the temperature becomes too high. If the temperature is too high, it is always possible to use the screw in "pulse" mode. If you release the button or joystick and then switch it on again, you can activate the screw again and again for a period of 3 seconds, until the engine has cooled down completely.
In order to have an uninterrupted signal transmission, the ALFA 10T has a lever lock. Even in cases of vibration, the signal transmission remains undisturbed.
During the installation of the ALFA 10T, it can be set whether or not the panel switches off automatically if the bow thruster or stern thruster has not been used for more than 30 (factory setting), 60 or 120 minutes.
The panels have a built-in time delay of 1 second when reversing the direction of rotation (factory setting). This function can be switched off.
The panels of the ALFA 10T give a warning by means of an illuminated LED and a buzzer signal if the bow- or sternthruster is switched on continuously for more than 2 minutes.
